Pam Taylor's career began as a commercial artist concentrating on illustration and finished artwork prior to printing in magazine work, catalogues and newspapers. Some years later Pam moved into the world of craft with a focus on folk art and decorative painting, specialising in still life, naive rural scenes, and illustrated stories with history on specially designed boxes. Her skills as a teacher in decorative painting brought national and international recognition, conducting workshops around Australia, UK and Thailand, with several study trips to the USA. Many of her designs were published in Australian craft magazines.
After a move from Sydney to Noosa Queensland in 1999, and the desire to paint bright bold colour on large canvas supports, Pam attended TAFE, completing the Diploma of Visual/Fine Art in 2004/2005 at Sunshine Coast TAFE, Tewantin. Later studying and completing the Advanced Diploma Visual in 2013 at Sunshine Coast TAFE, Tewantin, Qld. During 2016, Pam studied at CQU Noosa for a Post Graduate Certificate in Creative Industries, and in 2018, she is completing a two year study for the Bachelor of Visual Art with the University of Canberra at TAFE East Coast campus at Nambour.
Pam also conducts classes and workshops in contemporary acrylic designs, introducing many varied acrylic techniques for the beginner / intermediate painter. For more information about Pam's workshops, contact Noosa Arts & Crafts, Noosaville Qld. GREEN is my favourite HUE.
